
Joining Air Cadets is actually pretty simple. Following are a few of
the frequently asked questions from the parents and the future cadets concerning
the joining procedures...
How do I Join?

Call us at (613) 737-3380 or (613) 521-7153

Stop by on Thursday evenings at the Canada Reception Centre, located in
Hangar 11 of the old Canadian Forces Base Uplands (OC Transpo route 147
stops near the hangar).
Here is what you should bring when you register:
-Birth certificate (this is not the same as a certificate of live birth), NOT a photocopy
-Health Card, NOT a photocopy
-A parent, to sign your form

What are the aims of the Air Cadet Programme?

Develop Citizenship and Leadership

Promote Physical Fitness

Stimulate interest in the Canadian Forces

What does it cost?
-
No fees or dues
-
You are expected to participate in fund raising and other activities (a
few during the year)

Uniforms are provided

Occasional charges for special activities
How do I get there?

By car coming from the East
-Go west on Hunt Club Road
-At Royal Route (opposite the Hunt and Golf Club) turn left at the lights
-Follow the black signs for the Canada Reception Centre
-
By car coming from the West
-Go east on Hunt Club Road
-At Royal Route (opposite the Hunt and Golf Club) turn right at the lights
-Follow the black signs for the Canada Reception Centre
-At South Keys transitway station, take the 147 on the Southbound side
(stop 1D)
-The bus stops near the hangar (get off at first stop on base when exiting
the NRC, on Royal Route close to Research Rd.)
